Fish emulsion is a nutrient source for soil microbes. Feeding microbes fish emulsion results in an increase in the activity and diversity of the microbial community in the soil. It improve soil health. Improved soil moisture, nutrient and reduced diseases are some of the indicators of good soil health. This video is a demonstration by young organic farmer Teariki Patai at the Youth Learning Exchange on Resilient Agriculture Practices held in Vanuatu from October 9 to 13th 2017. The Exchange was supported by the CTA- Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation, the Sustainable Development Goal Fund and UNDP through the Engaging Fiji and Vanuatu Youth in Organic Farming project and the International Fund for Agricultural Development through the Capacity Building for Resilient Agriculture in the Pacific Project.
